The footman was severely out of his depth, flustered by Cayde's nonchalance and trying for another meaningful point to make his rebuttal. Meanwhile, hanging around to feel this one out was ratcheting tension up Tony's spine, until he squeaked as the Ghost reappeared, and swung around wildly to snatch her out of the air like this would diffuse any of the tension. He might have snatched Cayde, too, to haul them all off and back into the corridors to disappear for another five minutes, suggesting between grit teeth, "If there's some danger here, we should probably go...," not nearly as capable in his performance as Cayde. Any hauling was a beat too late, though, as the men from the hall upstairs came thundering around the corner, arms flung out and already panting from their rush to the scene. One of them had a big stick now.
