As though they had any chance of ignoring the tension now, Tony insisted, "No, I can't just go out there and say there's been a murder, because all of those people will freak out, they're already drunk and...weird--" except he hardly cared about making that point. He didn't even take a breath to redirect, "I'm sorry," aggressive, definitely not sorry, "I don't know what you expected me to think after lurking around and not talking to anyone this whole time. Maybe if we had a foundation of you not killing people to work from, we could have moved passed this already."
