Arrival
The quiet hum of a star destroyer, the subdued lighting, even the starscape that was always beyond the viewscreen were abruptly replaced with both being both on a planet and a peaceful summer day on that planet. Thrawn blinked, then waited a moment to see if this was somehow a particularly vivid hallucination. Nothing changed when he did so, but he did notice the shining orb that was hovering next to the fountain now. The compulsion to touch it took hold then, and as Thrawn did so a flood of memories along with the basic information it alwas gave made Thrawn have to keep his eyes closed and pinch the bridge of his nose at the information overload. He stayed that way for several momenets as he tried to mentally sort through everything that the datapoint had shown him. When e next opened then, he looked at everything in Temba, for that was it's name, with new eyes.
Network
[ Thrawn has already known about the Network, and the device that activates said Network on his person. So here he is, blue skin, red eyes and the same icy calm he always had. ]
It is passing strange to find myself back here again. If Eli Vanto has likewise also been brought here I would ask that he contacts me.

[Network]
He isn't here, Thrawn. You've been gone a long time, man. Probably for the best in some ways, because, ugh, woulda been awkward for you for a while.
I've been keeping his diner open, like I promised him. Come by, we can talk. I'll try and catch you up.
[Network -> Action]
...If you wish.
[ The Diner isn't far from the Fountain so it doesn't take him long to walk there. He still has to duck a little walk through the door. ]

Been something like two years since I've seen you.
[Though he has clearly aged more than two years.]
You missed a lot of Jedi. You're probably lucky for that. Not even kidding. Some that particularly hated you.

[ Thrawn pauses with his hands behind his back. He makes a mental note of the comparison between the age he had last seen Tommy and the age that Tommy is now.]
If it was Jedi from my timeline then I am not surprised. By the time I found my way to the Empire the Jedi were largely wiped out though.

[Yeah, he supposed it's like that, sometimes.]
You know the names Obi-Wan Kenobi or Ezra Bridger?
no subject
Yes, I know both of those names. The former I have had personal experience with. I trust Mr. Bridger is not currently in residence?
[ Thrawn would probably have heard about it if he was. ]
no subject
[Tommy had gotten into an argument with Ezra at one point after all, over Thrawn specifically.]
So I guess I gotta ask. You going to be like he says you are, or are you going to deal with this place and be chill to people?
no subject
How I behave is only contingent on whether or not this becomes a theater of war. At present, I believe that it is a moot question and we are all on a similar footing in that none of us are part of a military hierarchy here.
[ Thrawn shrugs a little. ]
Whatever Mr. Bridger's opinion has been, I have no reason to do anything but defend my person while I'm here.
[ Which is to say that Thrawn can be a cold, calculating motherfucker, and probably a lot colder than Tommy might know. But whatever the case, Thrawn doesn't hurt anyone without a reason. ]

Okay then. Good news, you just barely missed another Calibrations session. So, you know, there's that.
[Of course, he's going to watch Thrawn a bit close because, you know, they've had a near murder already, sooooooo he's got to be careful.]

Then you are saying it has become a recurring thing?
[ Thrawn thought on this. He was a little fuzzy on the math but after about 2 years... ]
"…Are there others who have been in the same long-term residence as you?"
no subject
[others? Yeah, Tommy nods.]
Some people are still here from when you were. Not as many, but they're still there. Um, Cal's still here, so there's that. Tony, if you knew him, and Jon. Billy of course. Really, you should check the comms and see what names are familiar.

[ Though speaking of his former stay… ]
…you say that Eli has also disappeared?

I promised him once, during a storm, that I'd make sure the diner stayed open if something ever happened to him. When he left I just... I took over. I promised.

Given that you have been operating it for so long, I would advise that you keep doing so. I would ask if it would be possible for me to resume using my former rooms, however.

I rather doubt you will need to worry about waking me. But thank you for the warning.
[ Since Thrawn only slept about 4-5 hours on average he would probably be up before Tommy came in anyway. ]
no subject
Good, then I've got no problem. I'll start moving stuff. Gonna need to find a new storage space.
Network
Hey. No Eli around these parts. But welcome back, I guess? Sort of cool to see people can come back after they get punted out. [Not that it makes a difference to Richie. Nope. No reason to care about that.] Didya bring us any souvenirs?
