His expression softening at that, Cal turns back towards Jon. "I think the possibility's there," he says, reaching out to set his hand on the Archivist's shoulder. "It's already been proven that not everyone completely forgets their time away- rare as it might be, and even if they do, the return isn't totally seamless that those outside looking at things closer will notice there are things that are off."

With even such small factors, Cal thinks it's more than enough, but then he'd like to believe as well that they can retain or prove something of their being in Temba, meeting these people he otherwise would have never had the chance to. And if Jon wonders that something's clung to him during his return, Cal can hope it's true.
