There was not going to be a good orphaning story, though the one that Lark had for him did sound particularly traumatic and Tony had to consciously relax his jaw to reach for, "It sounds like she ended up in the right place for her. Doing the magic thing, you know, with you, maybe she never would have had the chance..." He couldn't really convince himself that this was a worthwhile trade, though, so he trailed off, drifting away back toward his workbench where he could find something for his hands to do with all of this energy.
