The relief Tony felt at the lighter being accepted again was short-lived and quickly replaced with a tense guilt that he had presented a problem without any prepared solution. The chances were not great, after all. Tony rolled his eyes to the ceiling briefly, mouth open soundlessly to admit his loss, but it wasn't like they were at a complete disadvantage. "We have you," he pointed out. However Jon felt about his participation in his own apocalypse, no one could say he didn't have experience taking these things on. "So...we do this together," didn't sound nearly as inspiring or reassuring as Cap always managed; in fact, it sounded a lot like nonsense now that it was out of Tony's mouth, and he frowned apologetically and drew his arm tighter around Jon's shoulders in a hug. He would make sure that they could handle this, was what he meant to say, and it still came out then as, "Have you been sleeping?" Not that he really needed Jon to answer. Tony gave a small shake of his head for him, and asked, "Can I stay over tonight?"
