Hello all. I have returned from the Not Temba and brought some things for those who are interested. But along the way I discovered something distressing. Is it true that the ships have locked us out? This is distressing.

Ah, but that wasn't what I had come to say.

[The camera turns away from her and instead turns to take in an open part of the first floor of the civics center. She'd been doing her best to expand her whole gym area and now she had an idea.]

This is a nice, load bearing wall, and it has occurred to me nothing happens here. But when I was in the other city-town I saw that their space that isn't too unlike this one had many things clearly designed for climbing. It struck me that this might be a fun activity to work on strength.

Of course my question is how I would execute such a thing here. Does anyone have ideas?

[She is excited about the idea of a climbing wall. But given she'd never seen one before, she doesn't even know how to explain her desire properly.]

That is a thing? What are these things like? How do I make them?

And yes, I wish to expand the gym and training center I have made. Clarice and Keith do very good at helping the obstacle courses stay nice, but nothing quick covers this new urge I have to climb.

They are different shapes. Sometimes small, sometimes big. [very helpful] I do not really know how to make them. Just things to grab on to.

I have gone to the gym. It is very nice so far. Do you know about parkour? You could climb a building, not necessarily a wall.

What is Parkour? And if I climb a building I could fall and become hurt. Even if gravity here is a bit weak.

Uh, yeah... some exercise places back home have 'em. They're basically big walls with like knobs and weird shapes attached that people can hold on to and step on in order to climb them. It's supposed to simulate climbing up the face of a cliff or something.

[This is an odd concept of sorts for the guy who's spent so very much time climbing up and down ladders in dungeons and climbed rocks, jogged, ran, hiked and did all sorts of other things. Still, he has to think for a minute.]

I think we had some of these places back home.

A climbing wall! Lauri-Ell, that's genius, dude. Uhh, okay, you'll need like, screws and nuts, and then something to use for your hand and footholds. Back home you can buy those, but here not so much, so I bet you could just use wood. Just make em different sizes and put em at different angles. Then you just put them in and voila!

Oh, and you need a landing area, for when people inevitably fall off. And you gotta learn to fall properly if you've never done it before.

I could, yeah, sure.

Oh, you're gonna do it with jet packs? Yeah, you should be fine then. The places on earth it's like, you either have a harness for high climbing, or if you're bouldering you have nothing at all, but you need a squishy floor.

Parkour is... like extreme sport. You run and jump into different building structures, with a lot of balance and a strong core strength. Very popular where I am from.

Just try small buildings first.

I do not know that jumping off of a building without a jetpack for safety.

I don't have a jet pack, so I will just not fall. What is a harness? What is bouldering?

A harness is like, a sort of vest thing that's attached to some ropes so if you bail you don't fall to the ground. Bouldering is what they call rock climbing that doesn't go as high as like, a big mountain. You don't use much gear for bouldering, it's more about finding hand and footholds. It's fun.

[The whole 'honour to meet him' thing took him back a step mentally. Who even spoke like that? The last time he'd heard anything like that was back home and that was..forever ago now it seemed. Not very many people recognized him anywhere he went, even within the boundaries of his own kingdom.]

[That was accompanied with a nod. Still, he wanted to help if he could though he wasn't sure how because of how isolated he'd been. But he could recall a few stories from overhearing the Glaive.]

I heard there were different coloured shapes and they went really high up the wall. It almost got to the point they were talking about using harnesses in case anyone fell.

[These are many things to consider she supposes. She wished she could do research better.]

I fear I do not understand properly. Is bouldering less dangerous?

Kinda, yeah. Like you can't fall form quite as high. But you DO fall, because no harnesses. So if you land stupid you can hurt yourself.
