[ It's Ronan. He's smiling at the camera, having set it up on something to make this easier. ]

Hey. Introductions seem to be the thing to do, so thought I might as well. Not for me, but--

[ He reaches down, out of frame, and lifts up a puppy, holding him close to the camera for a good view of his face before settling him into his lap. It seems to be a pitbull terrier, if you're familiar with dogs. Ronan scratches him behind his ears as he shifts and seems to be looking for the source of who Ronan's talking to. He has a very handsome leather collar with a metal tag on it, and Ronan clearly adores him. ]

This is Jack! He showed up the other day and I thought I'd show him off to everyone. Do you think the replicator will work for dog toys?

[ Not that he can't just ask K, but he is sort of trying to not be too obvious about the dreaming. ]

Oh! He looks very friendly. A...dog, you said?

[She's assuming that's what the creature is, given he's asking about dog toys.]

It might be possible? You wouldn't be asking for weapons, so it should work- granted it knows what dog toys are, I suppose. I have yet to try the replicator, myself.

What?! People're getting puppies and I haven't got my rock-bird back from the Agrii yet! I needa write Gary...

[The Exo huffs, shaking his head.]

Cute little guy. Don't know what the range is on the replicator is, but failing that, you can always try the Box. The Agrii have these doglike things- ah, what were they called again...

If you give it concise instructions, it will produce what you want it to make. It's asking the Agrii directly through their Soup Lies box that is less reliable.

However. It's a dog. Just take him to the abandoned stores and he will most certainly pick his own toys from what is left in them. The mothcats bring stuff back from there to play with all the time.

I'll keep that in mind about the supplies box. But that is a good point. Maybe I'll take him for a walk through later and see what catches his interest.

He's mostly been playing with his favorite sticks so far.

But- there are mothcats? I don't think I've seen them around, yet.

[His interest is pretty clear in his voice. Because Ronan likes 'weird' animals.]

[Oh hey, he recognizes the Exo. He smiles with a bit of a shrug, petting the puppy as he tries to get him to settle in his lap, but Jack seems far too interested in all the movement on the device to really quiet down.]

What's a rock-bird? Is that a pet you had back home?

And yeah, he is pretty cute, isn't he? [He grins, rather pleased by the compliment.] Dog-like should probably work. He has a favorite stick, but he definitely needs more toys.

[He has a few, but Ronan and K are both of the mind to spoil him.]

Nah, I had a chicken back home. This is a this bird that eats rocks that me and Tony found when we were off-world.

Yeah- they were pretty dog-like. Um... Ah! [He snaps his fingers.] Bikinis! Or...something like that- eh, close enough. Anyway, that's what their pets were called. [He shrugs.]

There's this box in the welcome center- er, excuse me, Whale Comb Sent Her. Oh wait, you should already know where it is if you know where the Replicator is. Same place. But yeah, box. You just um...make a request for the Agrii for some toys and they should get you set up.

The box where you can demand items from the Agrii is a different one than the replicator, just keep that in mind. You have more control about the replicator.

As for the mothcats, they tend to stay in and around the library. I still assume they actually live in the forest, but one has followed me and- Well. She raised her litter in the library building. So far they are sticking around.

Yeah, he's a dog. But he's still young so technically he's a puppy. Do they not have them where you're from?

[He gets the vibe that she's never encountered one before, which is interesting. Jack is clearly very interested in the conversation, like he's trying to get a better look at the device and the girl on it.]

I've only messed around with it a little so far- a couple times just for food stuff. I'll have to try it out and see what happens. Maybe the box too, though that sounds like an adventure.

[There's an exhale of amusement, the sort that says that he's probably going to try it just because it's an adventure.]

No. I've never seen anything like him before.

[She can't help but smile as it seems the dog is listening. She waves her hand at the screen.]

Was it able to make it? Food, that is. What are we supposed to do with the box?

Oh!

[Yeah, Billy's dying a bit. Look how cute it is.]

Where did a dog come from?! He's so cute.

[Jack is adorable, and he seems a bit more aware of the video feed and the people Ronan is interacting with than one might expect. His tail wagging as he paces in the teen's lap, clearly wanting to go to where this new person is.]

Isn't he great? Oh- we found him around the theater the other day.

[This is technically not untrue; but he leaves out the "Kavinsky and I dreamt him" part of the sequence of events. Instead he just scritches Jack behind his ears, which the puppy seems to appreciate, rolling over to show off his stomach- he already has Ronan totally wrapped around his finger. He pets his stomach and Jack seems pleased with the attention.]

I'd never had a puppy before, but I'd always wanted one. Instead I just grew up with farm animals.

Dude! You've got a doggo! That's awesome! Can I come say hi?

[Ronan's grin is wide and warm, and he drags a hand along Jack's flank, who seems to appreciate the attention. He jumps a little toward where the teen has the camera propped up, and he laughs, managing to keep him from actually knocking it down.]

Sure! That's be great. He seems eager for the company, don't you think?

[Peter laughs at Jack's antics, eyes sparkling]

I'll say! Heh! Where you at, man? I'm in Blue, depending, might not take me long to get there.

Oh! I'm Blue three, actually. It's the theater with the lights, but it's probably too early to see them until you get close.

[Jack wags his tail, settling a little as Ronan pets him; he seems to prefer the attention to investigating the phone, but he still watches it with sharp interest.]

Oh, shit, yeah, that's not far from me at all! I'm in the old arcade. I'll be right over.

[And right over he is, indeed, knocking on the door of Blue three with a piece of sturdy rubber hose in hand. It was part of a conduit he'd had to replace, but he's washed it out and now he hopes it'll make a suitable dog toy]

Hey, it's Peter ... uhhh ... the arcade guy.

[it occurs to him he might not have actually introduced himself]
