Steve shook Kaz's hand and released it before it got to be too long.

"Kaz Brekker. That is a new name for me. I take it you're probably not from the places that I am. Earth? Brooklyn? Any of those ring a bell?"

Steve had talked to enough people to know that neither of those things were very well known. Earth seemed to be familiar to many but the variations on it were numerous.
