Okay so there's some sort of twist on the Tooth Fairy here I can totally get around: I woke up this morning and my space helmet was under my pillow.

I got the holo-album I'd collected back home of my family and friends, a few weeks ago.

Tooth fairy? It's a story parents tell their kids on Earth when they lose baby teeth. You put your old tooth under the pillow and the tooth fairy comes and leaves you money for it. Not a lot of money, mind you, like ... enough for a couple pieces of candy or something.

What'd they leave you? The Agrii, not the tooth fairy.

I didn't put a dang thing down there, that's the wild part! I could understand it if I'd like, I don't know, left a lobster from the beach party or something.

How does that work? Do you have to wear it? Like a ring of power or something? Or a magical pendant?

Given I lack a bangle or a weapon I can equip it to, I have to have it in hand. And it's an orb.

They sure are. How high can it go? If you need to borrow my helmet so you can leave the atmosphere, go for it. We might as well share what we've got, yeah? Just... don't break it.

It can't break the atmosphere. Not made to do so. [Trust him, if it could, he would have tried by now.] It can get well above the clouds, and carries enough speed to keep up with a ship within atmosphere.

Tools can be swag. You should see Drax's knives, they're gorgeous. ... Can I see the materia some time? Like, how they work? I bet it's awesome.

... nope, no ticking. That's good. I'd hate to put it on and have my head explode. ... Crap! What if the switch to turn it on is a trigger?

"So we're next door neighbors," Ezra comments when he strolls in, a brief few minutes later.

What? No, not yet. .... Good thing, too. Whew. Why, would you be able to check it for me?

"What the whaaaaat?!" Peter crows happily, just as he finishes moving everything around. "That is too awesome! Which building are you in? C'mon in, have a seat! Not much yet, but I'm workin' on it."

"Yeah, the complex of buildings that direction-" Ezra points. "We're pretty sure it used to be a museum but packed up what artifacts we found and, well, we're calling it a temple now, that's where I live. We're still working on it, too."

"A temple? Wait, hang on, I think Obi-Wan wants me to meet him there for meditating lessons." He beams, really pleased at how small a world it is on Temba. It reminds him so much of living with his mother, before his life got turned upside down. "He's trying to help me figure out if my powers really died with my dad, or if I might still have something to work with."

[ezra_of_lothal]

"Oh!" Ezra smiles back. "Yes, that temple, and I'm not surprised that would be how Master Kenobi would want to start helping you figure out abilities. It if doesn't work than ok, maybe you get a little frustrated and bored. Or maybe you learn a little about new skill you find helpful, as like, a life thing."

"Yeah, so far my brain just keeps going and going and going and doing its own thing. I'm like, come on, get to the secret locked up stuff, but ... Obi says that's kinda supposed to happen, so I guess ... I'll just keep sittin' there letting it."

[ezra_of_lothal]

"Give it some time," Ezra encourages, before he moves on.

"What else did you want to show me? Or did you want to see pictures already?"

"Oh! There's the helmet." He turns his head so Ezra can see the little earpiece curled around the back of his right ear. With a tap behind his earlobe, the whole mask materializes almost like a Jedi hologram over his face, panels unfolding and interlocking until the round, red lenses glow to life.

"Ta-da! Neat, right?"

[ezra_of_lothal]

"Ok, I collected helmets back home, and I can honestly say I didn't have anything that cool," Ezra admits. "I mean, that is creating some sort of protection and functionality, right? It's not just a light show?"

[puddledancer]

"You bet," he grins, tapping the trigger again to turn it off. "Low-light goggles, protects against blasters, and you can breathe in space with it for like ... half an hour or so, long enough for a rescue ship to come."

He reaches up and pulls off the little earbud, holding it out to him. "Here, try it on."
