She set down the cooler and approached slowly, with no apprehension, kneeling halfway toward the paddock to pull up a handful of the same greens she'd offered on her first day in Temba.
"Hey, darlin'," she cooed softly to one of them. It looked up, dark muzzle sniffing the air, and started to move toward Starling, cautiously. "Yeah. That's right. Got somethin' good for you here. Hi. Aren't you pretty."
